What Groupy is

Groupy is a shared ledger. It records who paid and who owes and suggests the fewest transfers to settle. Groupy is not a payment service: it does not hold money, does not move money, and does not guarantee that anyone pays anyone.

Your account

You sign in with your phone number and a code we text you. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for the accuracy of what you log.

Groups

Every member of a group can add and edit expenses. Balances are computed from the ledger as it stands; how you settle between yourselves is between you.

Acceptable use

Do not use Groupy for anything unlawful or to harass others. We may suspend accounts that do.

Liability

The service is provided as is. We are not liable for losses arising from a logging mistake or from a transfer made, or not made, outside the app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
